Compliance is cold. We are not.
We built AlignSure because compliance teams deserve tools that actually work for them, and a company that picks up the phone.
Why We Built This
Compliance officers are under enormous pressure. The tools they have were not designed for them. Most platforms were built for IT security teams preparing SOC 2 audits, not for the people managing HIPAA obligations, workers' comp claims, and insurance renewals all at once. Nobody in this space was trying to make their lives easier. We are.
What AlignSure Is
Here is the short version: we built an evidence engine. Not a checklist. Checklists don't survive audits. Spreadsheets don't impress underwriters. And nobody has ever won a regulatory review by showing an auditor their Outlook reminders.
AlignSure connects every regulatory obligation to the person responsible, the documentation required, and the deadline that matters. Every action is tied to an authenticated identity. Every piece of evidence is timestamped, exportable, and structured for the people who actually review it: auditors, underwriters, and regulators.
It runs on Microsoft 365 because that is where your team already works. No new passwords. No parallel systems. No six-month onboarding.
What We Solve
We organize compliance around four cost pillars. Every feature connects back to one of them.
Cost of Health
When a benefits plan falls out of compliance, someone's coverage is at risk. We track every obligation and surface the documentation before that happens.
Cost of Risk
When an employee gets hurt, the paperwork burden falls on people who are already stretched thin. AlignSure tracks every claim and every trend so your risk team has answers ready.
Cost of Compliance
Regulatory deadlines don't care that your team is understaffed. We map every obligation to the person responsible and the evidence required, then make sure nothing slips.
Cost of Technology
Your org already runs on Microsoft 365. We plug into that instead of making your team learn another system. One login, one identity, one audit trail.
Our Approach
Every feature we ship has to pass five tests. If it can't answer all five, it doesn't ship.
- Who signed it?
- Who reviewed it?
- Which regulation requires it?
- What financial metric does it affect?
- What audit trail does it produce?

Leadership
Megan Scherer
Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder
Megan grew up in a family that ran retail businesses, where she learned that how a customer feels about working with you matters as much as what you deliver. She leads product and customer experience at AlignSure, and she is the reason the platform makes sense to the people who actually use it every day.
Spencer Scherer
Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder
Spencer spent years building compliance and risk infrastructure in legal and financial services environments where everything was clinical and impersonal. He started Newf because he believed the people doing compliance work deserved better tools and a better partner. He built AlignSure from the ground up: the architecture, the METIS intelligence engine, and every Microsoft integration.
